TeleCheck provides merchants with the largest, most sophisticated check acceptance system available today and stands behind the payment of any check it approves, which reduces risks to merchants and protects their businesses.

Process credit cards on the telephone

This service offers businesses a new degree of protection by allowing merchants to process credit card purchases from any touch tone telephone. Telephone Charge agents simply fill out a sales receipt, request authorization via a toll-free telephone number and submit the sales slip for verification. Merchants receive the proceeds of their sales via ACH into their designated checking account.

TeleCharge offers simple and very cost-effective access to credit card processing by providing point-of-sale processing for small office, mobile services, home-based businesses and direct marketing businesses.

Telephone Charge merchants complete a sales receipt, manually imprint the credit card slip and process a charge against the customer's bankcard through the toll-free telephone authorization line. CardCenter Payment Systems then deposits the funds directly into the merchant's checking account. Although a manual imprint is not required, merchants should keep an imprinted sales receipt for their records.

CardCenter Payment Systems Chargeback and Retrieval Department defends its merchants’ rights by making sure that the MasterCard or Visa dispute resolution guidelines have been met when the cardholder-issuing banks send us transaction receipt requests and contested transactions.

The Chargeback and Retrieval Department protects our merchants and reaches favorable resolutions for them. To achieve this, the department reviews the merchant's responses to transaction requests and contested transactions for completeness and proper documentation.


Fraud-prevention services and features, such as Address Verification Service (AVS), help verify street numbers before the merchandise is shipped. CVC2 (MasterCard) and CVV2 (Visa) are new card verification and validation methods designed to minimize Internet and mail order/telephone order fraud. These methods allow greater security when merchants process transactions where the customer's credit card is not present, and they are some of the security measures available that can help you prevent fraudulent credit card purchases and save your business money.

Two different dedicated departments assist you in keeping your business running smoothly.  Our dedicated Customer Service staff helps merchants reconcile their deposits, understand their account statements, and answer questions about rates, fees, chargebacks and retrievals. Representatives can also help locate a missing deposit or transaction and make profile changes to a merchant’s account.

Our CardCenter Payment Systems Technical Support Help Desk provides merchants support they can always rely on. New CardCenter merchants can call the Help Desk for training instructions and assistance to operate their POS processing equipment and all merchants can call when they need a terminal downloaded with a processing application.

When merchants encounter a terminal challenge, the Help Desk troubleshoots the issue and, in most instances, can fix it over the telephone.
